Although most pregnancies go smoothly, some expectant moms and their babies may be at increased risk for health problems that need extra attention. Though it might feel alarming to get a referral to a doctor who specializes in high risk pregnancies, it doesn’t mean that something is wrong. Most often, it’s simply a precaution to make sure everything goes smoothly.
