Cancer Support at Saint Joseph East
To help you and your family manage the challenges of a cancer diagnosis, CHI Saint Joseph Health – Cancer Care offers support services, including education and resources that go far beyond physical healing. These resources are free, confidential and available to anyone affected by cancer.
You also have access to daily, one-on-one consultations with a variety of cancer specialists, including:
- A clinical dietitian for nutritional guidance before, during and after treatment
- A chaplain to provide spiritual support for all faith groups and family members
- An oncology certified social worker to help with financial assistance, connect you to community and hospital resources and provide mental health counseling and support specific to cancer
- A Palliative Care team to help you manage any pain or uncomfortable symptoms from cancer or related treatment.
If you’re looking to connect with others affected by cancer, we invite you to attend one of our cancer support groups. It’s a great opportunity for you and your support system to share thoughts and feelings on the cancer journey, and exchange practical tips and strategies, such as how to cope with treatment side effects.
We welcome you to join us at any time for one of our ongoing groups. View upcoming support group dates and times on the event calendar.
If you have any questions regarding support services, please call 859.629.7131 (3470 Blazer Parkway) or 859.313.4530 (701 Bob-O-Link Drive).
