Kalen Templeton (R35)
PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident
Dr. Templeton is originally from Oxford, Ohio and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in April of 2022 from the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy in Cincinnati, OH. His current practice interests are ambulatory care and cardiology. As a resident, he plans to enhance his teaching skills by completing the Sullivan University College of Pharmacy Teaching Certificate. Upon completion of his PGY1 residency, he plans to pursue a PGY2 residency in ambulatory care. Aside from pharmacy, Dr. Templeton enjoys building computers, PC gaming, woodworking, and spending time with friends/family.
Residency Research Project: Prescribing Compliance with Guideline Directed Medical Therapy for American College of Cardiology/AHA Heart Failure Guidelines.
Madeline Wermeling (R36)
PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident
Dr. Wermeling is originally from Hebron, Kentucky, and she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2022 from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in Lexington, KY. Her current practice interests include ambulatory care and cardiology. During residency, she plans to complete the Sullivan University College of Pharmacy Teaching Certificate program in preparation for becoming a future preceptor. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Wermeling enjoys cooking, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, and spending time with family and friends.

Emma Whisman (R37)
PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident
Dr. Whisman is originally from Versailles, Kentucky and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May of 2022 from University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in Lexington, Kentucky. Her current practice interests include emergency medicine and critical care. As a resident, she plans to complete the Sullivan University College of Pharmacy Teaching Certificate in order to enhance her teaching and presentation skills and learn to be a preceptor.
Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, she plans to pursue a PGY2 residency in emergency medicine. Aside from pharmacy, Dr. Whisman enjoys riding and training her horse and having game nights with her friends.
