Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation Holds 3rd Annual Yes, Mamm! 5K
Lexington, Ky. (October 6, 2017) — A record crowd of 500 people is expected on Saturday, October 14 for Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation’s third annual Yes, Mamm! 5K race in Nicholasville.
The event, held at R.J. Corman Railroad Group Headquarters, is open to all ages and includes music, homemade ice cream and a chip-timed walk/run. It raises funds for the Yes, Mamm! program, which provides mammography screening and diagnostics to underinsured patients. Every dollar raised will support Yes, Mamm! programs based in Lexington and Nicholasville, which serve individuals in 15 counties in the Commonwealth.
“During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are doing our part to help women get lifesaving breast cancer screenings,” said Leslie Buddeke Smart, president, Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation. “This 5K will help raise awareness about early detection, and we are thrilled to have so many participants each year – all showing support for this wonderful cause.”
Registration for the Yes, Mamm! 5K is $35 until October 12. After that, people can register for $40 in person during packet pick-up Friday and the day of the event. KentuckyOne Health and RJ Corman employees can register for $25 on race day.
The race begins rain or shine at 9 a.m., with race day registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. To register online, visit http://www.kentuckyonehealth.org//chi-saint-joseph-health/ways-to-help/saint-joseph-hospital-foundation/events/yes-mamm/yes-mamm-5k.
