KentuckyOne Health Names Bruce Tassin CEO for Future Organization

Lexington, Ky. (November 3, 2017) – KentuckyOne Health is pleased to announce new leadership to guide the organization for the future. Bruce Tassin will serve as Chief Executive Officer for KentuckyOne Health and continue his role as president of Saint Joseph Hospital, which he has held since 2015. Bruce will lead Kentucky-based operations of the recently expanded Southeast Operating Division for Catholic Health Initiatives.

“Under Bruce’s leadership, KentuckyOne Health delivered on its promise to provide safe, high quality and innovative care to the people of Kentucky,” said Larry Schumacher, senior vice president of operations for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), Southeast Operating Group. “As we transition to place a greater emphasis on the central and eastern parts of Kentucky, I look forward to Bruce extending his passion for patient-centered care and service to the community.”

With more than 27 years as a hospital and health system administrator, Bruce has experience developing and implementing successful strategic plans, achieving improved quality measures and guiding increased financial growth. Above all, Bruce is committed to the communities he serves; the patients, caregivers, employees and physicians. Bruce has spent much of his career in faith-based health systems, previously with CHRISTUS Health System before he and his family moved to Lexington. Bruce earned both a B.S. and M.B.A. from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
