Flaget Memorial Hospital Honors Employees with Daisy and ROSE Awards for Second Quarter
Bardstown, Ky. (July 21, 2015)—Flaget Memorial Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, has named its Daisy Award and Rose Award winners for the second quarter of 2015. Sarah Bunch, RN, surgical services, is the recipient of the Daisy Award. Vicki Lee, monitor tech, has received the ROSE Award.
The Daisy Award is a nationwide program that celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care provided by nurses every day. KentuckyOne Health is proud to be a Daisy Award Partner, recognizing one nurse with this special honor every quarter.
Sarah Bunch, RN, was nominated by Dr. Amy Farrell, OB/GYN, for outstanding service to the Flaget Memorial Hospital community by comforting obstetrical patients before they enter surgery and exemplifying above and beyond care with a bedside manner is second to none.
Similarly, The ROSE Award is a program that honors Flaget Memorial’s non-nursing personnel. The ROSE Award – short for Recognition of Service Excellence – celebrates unsung heroes who work tirelessly to provide the best possible service.
The critical care unit’s Vicki Lee was nominated by her colleague Josh Wethington for her determination, charitable efforts, knowledge and expertise while working the front desk.
The Daisy Award winner received a certificate, Daisy award pin and a hand-carved stone sculpture. The ROSE Award winner was honored with a certificate, ROSE pin and a bouquet of roses to display in her department.
