Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Scramble Set for Friday, June 24

Bardstown, Ky. (May 23, 2016) – The Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation will host its fourth annual golf scramble on Friday, June 24 at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood. Both corporate and individual registrations are now available for the event.

The annual tournament has seen tremendous growth over the years. Last year, the golf scramble raised more than $36,000 to support mission and outreach programs at Flaget Memorial Hospital. Philanthropic partnerships with the community allow the hospital to continue its mission of providing the finest healthcare and most advanced technology available.

Funding raised by the Flaget Memorial Hospital Foundation has supported patient programs and updated technology, such as the prescription assistance program and the purchase of a Piccolo Xpress Chemistry Analyzer to support the Cancer Center at the hospital.

“The community provides tremendous support for this event, and in turn, the event helps to bring health and wellness to local patients and families,” said Sue Downs, president, Flaget Memorial Hospital. “As one of the Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals in the United States, our community’s continued support helps to put us at this level. We are expecting a great turnout for this year’s event and welcome our local community members and business people to join us. All the proceeds will be directed toward health initiatives in our community.”

Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. There will be a shotgun start to the golf scramble at 1 p.m. For sponsorship information or to register for the event, please contact Angela Hicks Billings at 502.350.5058.
