Dr. Tamea Evans joins KentuckyOne Health Primary Care Associates
Louisville, KY (Jan. 06, 2014) – Tamea Evans, M.D., has joined KentuckyOne Health Medical Group. She is practicing at KentuckyOne Health Primary Care Associates, formerly Jefferson Medical Associates. The office is located at 1900 Bluegrass Avenue, Suite 300, in Louisville.
Evans is a board-certified internal medicine physician and a practicing diabetologist. She received her undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College in health sciences in 1993. She attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, earning her doctorate of medicine degree in 2003.
She further trained at the University of Kentucky and the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati for her internal medicine residency and internship, respectively. Her goal is to provide quality, comprehensive care to adult patients. Her interests include comprehensive primary care, women’s care and diabetic health.
Evans is an active member of Bethsaida Baptist Church, where she serves as the health ministry leader. She serves as the health and human services chair for the Frankfort/Lexington Chapter of Links, Incorporated, a non-profit dedicated to community service. She also serves as the medical director for the Consolidated District Baptist Association. In addition, she is a member of both the Lexington Central Kentucky Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women and the Central Kentucky Chapter of Jack and Jill of America.
The physician enjoys public speaking, community service and spending time with her family. She lives in Lexington with her husband and three children.
