Yes, Mamm! Charity Tennis Event, Featuring Ranked Tennis Players, Will Benefit CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (July 9, 2021) – Several national tennis stars are set to participate in the inaugural Yes, Mamm! Charity Tennis Event, which will take place on Saturday, July 24, at the Top Seed Tennis Club in Nicholasville and will raise funds to support local cancer patients through the CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations.

Two singles matches and one doubles match will feature three ranked pro players and a local tennis standout during the charity event. These ranked players will soon be revealed on both the Top Seed and the CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations social media pages.

The event aims to raise $25,000 for CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations’ Yes, Mamm! and Yes, Cerv! programs, which help provide community members with screenings that lead to earlier cancer diagnoses for breast and cervical cancer. The Yes, Mamm! program was established in 2012 and provides screening mammography and diagnostic services at no charge to medically underserved individuals. Yes, Mamm! also provides lymphedema therapy treatment and patient navigation services, and assists with travel expenses for those facing transportation barriers. The Yes, Cerv! program launched in 2020 and is helping prevent cervical cancer through the promotion of Pap tests and HPV vaccinations, as well as providing patients with cervical cancer screenings, early-stage diagnoses and oncological pelvic treatment.

“These two programs are truly making a difference in Kentucky, helping save lives through early detection, and it’s amazing to have these international tennis stars help us further our mission of saving lives,” said Leslie Smart, CFRE, president, CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations. “We hope community members will join us for a day of fun, as we also fundraise for a bigger cause – giving back to those locally in need of screenings and cancer services.”

“Top Seed Tennis Club is honored and humbled to be hosting this event for Yes, Mamm!/Yes, Cerv!,” said Top Seed Tennis Club General Manager Jon Sanders. “One of the major missions of Top Seed Tennis Club is to give back to the community, and we feel that this event will not only provide exciting tennis from some of the game’s best players, but also raise important funds and bring much needed awareness to this incredible cause.”

The tennis event will kick off with a Matches and Mimosas event in the morning, which costs $25 for participants, where players and attendees will wear pink as a special recognition to cancer survivors. The charity matches, which each feature an eight-game pro set, will begin at 10 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. There will also be a meet and greet opportunity for sponsors of the event. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside.

General admission tickets are $100; VIP tickets, which include a meet and greet with the players, food and beverage, are $500; and the sponsor package, including two VIP tickets and signage on site, are $1,500. Tickets can be purchased at yesmammtennis.eventbrite.com.

Sponsors are still needed for the Yes, Mamm! Charity Tennis Event. For more information on becoming a sponsor, call 859.940.1642 or email Jon Sanders, tournament director, at [email protected]
