Welcome, Baby! Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East Announces First Birth of 2024

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 3, 2024) – At 12:20 a.m. on January 1, Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East delivered its first baby of 2024. Kylie Whitaker Erlewein and Kris Cole Jr. from Nicholasville welcomed Kaylani Elaine. She weighed 5 lbs. 10 oz. and was 19.5 inches long.

This year, the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation presented the parents with several gifts, including books, toys and necessities.

“Welcoming little ones into the world is truly a miraculous experience, and we are proud to be a part of families’ special moments daily,” said Eydie Johnson, BSN, RNC-OB, nurse manager, Labor and Delivery and Perinatal Education, at Women’s Hospital. “We wish nothing but the best for this family as they begin their new journey.” 

In 2023, Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East welcomed 1,438 babies.
