BEREA, Ky. (April 19, 2023) – CHI Saint Joseph Health is proud to announce two of its facilities have been nationally recognized for excellent patient experiences. Saint Joseph Berea’s outpatient rehabilitation department and Flaget Memorial Hospital’s oncology department in Bardstown received a Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award®.
Each year, Press Ganey, a health care performance improvement company, uses data from patient surveys to recognize standout health care organizations nationwide as part of its Human Experience Awards. The awards identify and honor advancements in the health care experience. The Guardian of Excellence Award is a category within the awards program that honors organizations that perform in the top 5% of health care organizations for patient experience, employee engagement, physician engagement or clinical quality performance.

Saint Joseph Berea earned this award thanks to their hard work and dedication to our patients.”
“Our cancer center caregivers truly live our values of compassion and excellence, and this Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes their commitment to our community,” said Jennifer Nolan, president, Flaget Memorial Hospital. “We are humbled to be among more than 400 other hospitals and health care systems across the country that received this recognition.”
