Seventh Annual Saint Joseph Berea Foundation Gala for Healing and Hope Raises Nearly $37,000

BEREA, Ky. (March 12, 2020) – The Saint Joseph Berea Foundation’s 7th annual Gala for Healing and Hope raised nearly $37,000 on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation, which invests in outstanding patient care facilities and services, the education of health caregivers, advanced clinical research and improved access to quality medical care.

“We are so thankful for the support this annual event receives from the Berea community year after year,” said Leslie Smart, CFRE, president, CHI Saint Joseph Berea Foundation. “Saint Joseph Berea is honored to serve the local and surrounding communities with first-rate health care that allows our patients to stay close to home.”

During this event, a local physician who is making an impact in the community was also honored. This year, the Physician of the Year was given to Joshua B. Huffman, MD, who has cared for patients in the Berea area for five years.

Over the last seven years, the Gala for Healing and Hope has raised nearly $190,000 for the Saint Joseph Berea Foundation. This year’s Gala was held at The Churchill Company, and included a silent auction, dinner, live music and an awards presentation.
