MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (Jan. 3, 2023) – On Sunday, Jan. 1, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling delivered its first baby of 2023 at 9:15 p.m. Payton Moore and Keith Brubaker from Means, Ky., welcomed Madelyn. She weighed 8 lbs. and was 20 inches long.
This year, the hospital presented the family with several gifts, including a Radio Flyer wagon with clothing, diapers, blankets and other essential items for the first baby of the new year.
“This is always one of our favorite announcements of the year – welcoming the first baby of the new year,” said Jennifer Chism, chief nursing officer, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling. “Congratulations to this family for their precious arrival and for trusting us to help bring their little one into this world.”
In 2022, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling welcomed 245 babies.
