Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Honors Outstanding Staff With Employee, Leader of the Year Awards

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (Dec. 6, 2021) – Saint Joseph Mount Sterling has announced its 2021 Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year award recipients. Leah Pharris, house manager, of Mount Sterling, was awarded the Employee of the Year award, and Jarrett Robinson, manager, Respiratory Care, of Winchester, received the Leader of the Year award.

Saint Joseph Mount Sterling annually recognizes one outstanding Employee of the Year who demonstrates the core values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration.

“Leah truly lives all of our core values,” said Pharris’s colleague. “She never leaves or passes by anyone in need. Co-workers and patients are never passed off or receive an ‘I don't know’ from Leah. She will find someone who can help or go through the proper channels to make sure the workflow or patient service is not interrupted.”

Similarly, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling annually presents one employee serving in a managerial position with the Leader of the Year award. Selection criteria include an outstanding demonstration of leadership led by CHI Saint Joseph Health’s core values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration.

“Through the past year, Jarrett has accepted many additional duties,” said Robinson’s colleague. “One of the biggest duties was coordinating the front door screeners. Even though that duty was reassigned many times, Jarrett did not hesitate to help with any challenges that it went through.”

Both award winners were recognized during a virtual ceremony in mid-November.
