OPPORTUNITIES:

• Photo/video or Saint Joseph Hospital staff, family and friends being doused in cold ice water by the Lexington Fire Department
• Interviews with Kelly Ray, emergency department manager, Saint Joseph Hospital
• Interviews with participants

 

MORE:         

A phenomenon on social media called the cold water challenge is raising big money for charities nationwide. Donations from the Saint Joseph Hospital challenge will be accepted for the donor’s charity of choice or given to the Joe Vising Fund created for a Lexington firefighter who was diagnosed with stage four skin cancer. UK HealthCare issued the challenge to Saint Joseph Hospital.

 

Snow cones, hats for kids from the Lexington Fire Department and other goodies will be provided at the event.
