Saint Joseph Berea Foundation Awarded $14,000 Grant from WHAS Crusade for Children - Archived

Berea, Ky. (September 5, 2019) – The Saint Joseph Berea Foundation has been awarded a $14,000 grant from WHAS Crusade for Children to help support improvements to pediatric rehabilitation at Saint Joseph Berea. This funding will be used to purchase specialized sensory equipment and speech therapy items to help treat children with sensory processing, injury recovery and speech disorders.

The rehabilitation center is dedicated to providing comprehensive and specialized programs for children with sensory processing disorders, speech disorders and those in injury recovery. The funding from WHAS Crusade for Children will help practitioners provide specialized treatment for children with these medical issues.

“With a comprehensive set of new resources and treatment options, Saint Joseph Berea is better equipped to properly diagnose patients with sensory disorders and other conditions, along with developing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs,” said Leslie Buddeke Smart, CFRE, president, Saint Joseph Berea Foundation.
