Our Lady of Peace to Host Free Seminar - Archived

 

Louisville, Ky. (February 19, 2014) —The Kosair Charities Children’s Peace Center at Our Lady of Peace, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host a free Peace for Parents seminar on preventing negative behaviors in adolescents and teens on Thursday, February 20 at 6 p.m. The seminar will be held at Conway Middle School, located at 6300 Terry Road in Louisville.

 

The seminar will be co-hosted by Rayna L. Stiles, a licensed clinical social worker and Tim Bowman, a certified social worker, both with Our Lady of Peace, and is part of the 2014 Peace for Parents series.

 

Peace for Parents is open to parents, grandparents, teachers, counselors and other concerned individuals that would like to learn more about how to face challenging issues with children and adolescents. The seminars usually last 60-90 minutes.

 

“Parents face a variety of challenges throughout the life of their child,” said Jennifer Nolan, president, Our Lady of Peace. “The Peace for Parents seminar aims to help parents to prevent negative behaviors that often occur during adolescence and find the motivation to change these behaviors.”

The final seminar in the series will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Maupin Elementary School and will focus on managing difficult childhood behaviors at home and at school.
