Free Oral, Head and Neck Screenings available at Kentucky State Fair

Kentucky not only leads the nation in tobacco-related cancers and in the percentage of adults who smoke or use tobacco products, it also has a lung cancer death rate that is 45 percent higher than the national average. As part of KentuckyOne Health’s mission to provide comprehensive and accessible care across the Commonwealth, they’ll offer free demonstrations and screenings at the Kentucky State Fair.

Join James Graham Brown Cancer Center, part of KentuckyOne Health, at the exhibit in the “Health Horizons” area of the South Wing on Friday, August 15 from 1 – 7 p.m. for free oral, head and neck cancer screenings

NOTE:         Additional offerings on Friday, August 15 include the inflatable heart and colon (9 a.m. – 7 p.m.),
                 blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose Screenings (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) and the mobile mammography van (9a.m. – 5 p.m.).
