Flaget Memorial Hospital to Host 7th Annual Community Health & Wellness Fair - Archived

Bardstown, Ky. (October 1, 2019) — Flaget Memorial Hospital will host its 7th Annual Community Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registered attendees and walk-ins are welcome to take part in a variety of free health screenings. The fair will take place at Flaget Memorial Hospital, located at 4305 New Shepherdsville Road in Bardstown.

“Early detection and treatment are key to ensuring the best outcomes when it comes to cancer and other potentially life-threatening diseases,” said Kristie Paris, MD, CHI Saint Joseph Health – Cancer Care Center in Bardstown. “We understand that cost can be a barrier for why people don’t receive regular health screenings. That’s why the Health & Wellness Fair is so important, as it will provide these vital health screenings to the community free of charge.”

No appointment is necessary for several of the free health screenings, including tests for cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, heart rate, hearing, mental health, oxygen saturation and lung cancer. The Kentucky Cancer Program will provide free colon cancer screenings. Attendees also can receive a complimentary chair massage.
