Enjoy The Changing Weather Through Walk With a Doc

Bardstown, Ky. (September 8, 2014) — Flaget Memorial Hospital, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host its monthly Walk With a Doc event on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Fall is around the corner, making September a perfect time to take control of one’s health and enjoy the outdoors. For those looking to start a healthier lifestyle, or for those just looking for another avenue of exercise, Flaget Memorial Hospital hosts monthly Walk With a Doc events in Bardstown.

Each walk takes place at 10 a.m. every second Saturday of the month at the Old Courthouse Building downtown (One Court Square). Walks are lead by a local physician.

Walk With a Doc is a nationwide program that empowers people to improve their health through physical activity by exercising side-by-side with their health care providers.

Walking is one of the best ways to stay fit, and can be done anywhere and anytime. It’s low impact, and puts less strain and stress on the lower back, joints like knees, hips and ankles and can improve balance. No special equipment or registration is needed to participate.
