Continuing Care Hospital Recognizes Employee and Leader of the Year

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 4, 2023) – Continuing Care Hospital has announced its 2022 Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year award recipients.

  •  Wanda Miller, RN, of Lexington, was recognized as Employee of the Year.
  • Goldie Morris, director, care management, of Harrodsburg, was recognized as Leader of the Year.

Each year, Continuing Care Hospital recognizes an Employee of the Year and Leader of the Year who go above and beyond their duties and demonstrate CHI Saint Joseph Health’s core values of compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration.

This year’s Continuing Care Hospital Employee of the Year is Wanda Miller.

“Wanda exhibits compassion for our patients on a daily basis,” a colleague said in her nomination. “She empathizes with patients and practices acts of kindness routinely. Wanda will spend extra time with patients and go above and beyond for them. She is always honest in her interactions and is a woman of her word. She takes pride in her work and strives to complete all tasks as assigned. Wanda has been a nurse for many years and loves caring for patients.”

Goldie Morris has been named this 2022’s Leader of the Year, recognized for her outstanding leadership in a managerial position.

“Goldie demonstrates compassion with patients and ensures all patients coming in and going out are given the same resources,” said a nominator. “She takes pride in her work and stays current with available resources. As an honest and compassionate leader, Goldie frequently collaborates with the entire team at Continuing Care Hospital.”

All award winners were recently recognized during a special event and will be celebrated during the CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations’ Humankindness Gala in Lexington on April 15.
