BARDSTOWN, Ky. (Jan. 18, 2024) – CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Orthopedic Surgery at Flaget Memorial Hospital announces a new general orthopedics and sports medicine provider, Dr. Jeeshan Ali Faridi, who brings a unique skill set to the team. Dr. Faridi will see patients with a wide variety of needs, ranging from athletic injuries to general injuries. He also performs anterior total hip replacements and total knee replacements as well.
“I like to help get patients back to doing what they love to do and being more active – it’s an immediate satisfaction that I thrive on,” said Dr. Faridi. “Whether it’s getting them back to gardening or returning to the basketball court, I am here to work together with my patients and restore their function.”
Dr. Faridi is eager to form a close relationship with his patients built on mutual respect and teamwork. “I strive to treat my patients how I would want to be treated and how I want my family to be treated,” said Dr. Faridi. “I want my patients to know that I’m going to listen to what they have to say, and together, we will come up with a treatment plan. My patients are in charge of their own health, and I’m here to help them when they need it.”
Though raised in New York, Dr. Faridi relocated to North Carolina as a teenager. Following the completion of his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Faridi pursued his doctorate at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. In 2015, he moved to Louisville, where he dedicated five years to completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Louisville. Following his residency, Dr. Faridi further honed his expertise by completing his arthroscopy and sports medicine fellowship in Richmond, Virginia.
In addition to finding fulfillment in the healing of athletes, Dr. Faridi also enjoys observing sports in his spare time, cheering for his alma mater, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and supporting the Louisville Cardinals, as well as the New York Knicks, Mets and Jets. He also enjoys playing pickleball, going hiking and discovering new restaurants. He says he’s looking forward to exploring the community of Bardstown.
“I really love the tight-knit fellowship of Bardstown; it’s what attracted me to working at Flaget Memorial Hospital,” said Dr. Faridi. “I’m eager to start getting to know my patients and the local community and begin forming relationships with them.”
Starting on Monday, Jan. 15, Dr. Faridi will be practicing at CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Orthopedic Surgery at Flaget Memorial Hospital, located at 875 Pennsylvania Avenue in Bardstown. To make an appointment, call 502.348.5685.
