CHI Saint Joseph Health – Primary Care Opens New Location in Georgetown, Kentucky

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (Oct. 15, 2024) - CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care has expanded its footprint in central Kentucky, opening a new office in Georgetown. The new office is located at 150 Mount Vernon Drive and will be staffed by two experienced medical providers – Caresse Wesley, DO, and Nova White, DO. This expansion aims to provide high quality, compassionate health care services to the Georgetown community, furthering the mission of CHI Saint Joseph Health to enhance the well-being of Kentuckians.

“We are thrilled to extend our health care services to Georgetown and to have two exceptional physicians, Dr. Wesley and Dr. White, as the providers assisting local community members,” said Carmel Jones, president, CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group. “Their dedication to improving patient health aligns perfectly with our mission of delivering compassionate care to the communities we serve.”

Dr. Caresse Wesley is a Georgetown resident and family medicine physician who has been with CHI Saint Joseph Health since January 2013. She earned her undergraduate degree at Asbury University, completed medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, and finished her residency at the University of Louisville. Dr. Wesley specializes in thyroid, hormone, and  integrative and functional medicine. A passionate advocate for preventive care, she has dedicated her career to helping patients uncover the root causes of their health issues and regain their vitality.

“What drives me is seeing lives transformed in a positive way and making people feel heard. Many of my patients feel like they've tried everything and no one is listening, but I never give up. I think that gives them some hope,” said Dr. Wesley. “I practice outside the box, so I have a bigger toolbox, more resources to really help people. I focus on finding the root cause of their symptoms, not just putting a bandage on it, and I don’t use medicine unless it’s absolutely necessary. Seeing them get their life and energy back is just so humbling."

Dr. Nova White grew up with a deep connection to holistic medicine and is poised to transform primary care with her integrative approach. She earned her undergraduate degree at Eastern Kentucky University, completed medical school at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, TN, and finished her residency in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Kentucky. She is passionate about patient well-being and committed to addressing the root causes of health issues. With a focus on holistic primary care, Dr. White brings a unique blend of traditional and all-inclusive medicine to the practice. Her background includes experience in musculoskeletal medicine, enabling her to address a wide range of conditions, from shoulder and neck pain to migraines.

“My biggest thing is trying to reduce medication burden. I take the time with patients because it’s worth it. Instead of treating symptoms, we fix it from the bottom up,” Dr. White said. “I always ask why something is going on, not just treating it. What is your body missing that it needs? I want to help them get back to some balance to where they feel better.”

Dr. Caresse Wesley and Dr. Nova White will offer a full range of primary care services, including preventive care, wellness check-ups, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute illnesses. With a focus on personalized care, patients will benefit from their combined expertise and patient-first approach.

The new CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care location is now open and accepting new patients. For appointments or more information, please contact 502.218.1710.
