CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group Expanding With New Winchester Medical Office Building

WINCHESTER, Ky. (March 30, 2020) – Construction is now complete on a new CHI Saint Joseph Health medical office building, which will house primary and specialty care services under one roof to make access to a growing network of health care providers as easy as possible for patients.

Construction on the one-story, 24,693-square-foot facility began in the spring of 2019 and opened its doors to patients on Monday, March 23, 2020. The facility will house a variety of health care services, including primary care, orthopedics, cardiology, imaging, laboratory services and physical therapy.

“We are excited to continue to expand health care services into central and eastern Kentucky and offer these services in one location for patients in Winchester,” said Viren Bavishi, DO, president, CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group. “This is a much-needed addition to the community that will help local patients access quality medical care even easier. Our long-term goal is to continue to expand our services within this building.”

“As health care evolves, it is very important to build more ambulatory settings that have all services patients will need when they come to the doctor in one location,” said Kathy Love, vice president, strategic development, CHI Saint Joseph Health. “We’ve found it’s very helpful to group providers together – a one-stop shop in the community.”

Crystal Thomas, practice manager for CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care, said the new building has patients in mind. “As a longtime member of the Winchester community, it is great to see and work for an organization that is focused on putting patients first,” she said. “This new state-of-the-art building offers the latest technology that allows us to care for the families in our community.”

NexCore Group completed the construction of this new facility. An event commemorating the kickoff for the project is planned in coming months.
