CHI Saint Joseph Health Physician Assistant Moves to Its Cardiology Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 31, 2024) – CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Cardiology in Lexington is pleased to announce the addition of Nicole Moss, PA-C to its dedicated team of caregivers. With a rich history within CHI Saint Joseph Health that began in the 1990s, Moss began her career as a physician assistant with Saint Joseph Hospital in the Emergency Department. She transitioned to Hospital Medicine in 2020, providing inpatient care to our patients, and now to cardiology.

“Cardiology is very interesting – you learn something new every day,” said Moss. She was drawn to this position because of her interest in the field, but also for being able to care for patients in both the hospital and office settings.

“My patient care philosophy is to treat everyone like I would want to be treated, no matter their background or status,” said Moss. “I like to involve my patients in their treatment planning process. I do my best to explain things in a way they understand.”

Moss first earned an associate degree from the Lexington Community College as a dental hygienist. After two years, she realized her true passion lay in medicine, and she returned to the University of Kentucky to pursue her Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. In addition to Saint Joseph Hospital, Moss has also made impactful contributions over her 25 years of service in the urgent care settings and with the VA Hospital in Lexington.

Moss is married with three children, with whom she enjoys spending as much time as possible. She also enjoys being active in the outdoors and traveling. In her new role, she is looking forward to starting the final chapter of her career and forming strong relationships with patients and colleagues.

“I’m thrilled to embark on this pivotal transition in my career,” said Moss. “I am eager to fully invest myself in the practice, prioritizing the well-being of my patients and striving to be the most effective provider I can possibly be.”

Moss is practicing at CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Cardiology in Lexington, located at 1401 Harrodsburg Rd. Suite A-300. To make an appointment, call 859.276.4429.
