After a stroke, many patients need continuing neurological care for a long period of time. Dr. Fred Odago says that CHI Saint Joseph Health provides this kind of specialized care.

Fred Odago, MD, CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Neurology

My goal as a clinician is to prevent a catastrophic stroke from happening. So, when they come to my clinic, the stroke care involves being able to find out why do they have that stroke to start with? Do they have some problem with their rhythm in their heart, something like atrial fibrillation? Do they have some blockage in their blood vessels that can be intervened?

I also want to make sure that they're getting all the care they need after the visit at the hospital. Are they getting physical therapy? They still have some weakness that they need to work on some more? Are they having issues with getting the medication after they were discharged? Do they need some help with social work, getting resources? We are trying to kind of seal the gaps coming out of the hospital.
