Crohn's disease is an autoimmune inflammatory condition of the bowel. Dr. Tracey Wolford from CHI Saint Joseph Health describes the symptoms.

Tracey Wolford, MD with CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group – Gastroenterology

The main symptoms are abdominal pain and diarrhea. Sometimes people will have weight loss, and usually these symptoms are chronic and are occurring more than a few months. It's something to take very seriously.

We treat it very aggressively in order to prevent patients needing surgery or having really severe quality of life issues. Probably the main focus of our clinic is Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

We are really experienced in all of the different medications that are used in Crohn's disease. We are really up-to-date with the new medicines that are coming out. We have infusion in our clinic. So some of our patients that get drugs that are infused, actually just come to our clinic for infusion.
